What happens on our programme?

Before the trip, you have access to training and support designed to allow you to hit the ground running in South Africa, including:

1

Online resources which introduce key enterprise and leadership skills

2

An online hackathon weekend focused on your social action projects

3

Online group call to introduce team members and Team Leaders

4

1-2-1 call to discuss personal goals for the programme

While you are on the programme, you will:

Learn about SA history and culture and exchange world views with people from other backgrounds, countries and cultures.

1.

Learn from and be inspired by entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovative organisations.

2.

Attend group sessions focused on your personal development and leadership skills.

3.

Have access to Team Leaders who act as mentors and coaches to encourage you to practice new skills and step outside of your comfort zones.

4.

Experience what Durban and the surrounding areas have to offer including safari and trips to Durban.

5.

You will also be leading on your own social action project to gain practical leadership skills

You will work as individuals or within small teams to research and test out entrepreneurial solutions to a societal challenge our partner organisations are tackling.

Leading a project gives you first hand, on the ground experience of creating a product or service that has the potential to change the world.

You will develop a global mind-set and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, learn how to work in multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams, influence others, and improve your cultural intelligence.

After the programme you will become part of our alumni network

You will have the opportunity to network with other emerging leaders throughout the network.

Plus have an opportunity to return as Team Leaders to build upon your leadership capacity and lead the new generation of programmes.
